Every inch of kitchen counter space was in use. All five of us were busy measuring, stirring, rolling, sautéing, and baking. There was flour and oil everywhere. And most of us were wearing some of it. No one was thinking about clean-up, as we were simply trying to get the meal done so we could finally sit down and eat.
Cheryl knows firsthand the frustration of trying to do it all and feeling that none of it is good enough. As the world slowed down for a global pandemic, Cheryl inspected her own life and who she wanted to become—who she needed to become—to serve
at her highest level.
As nurturers, we often put ourselves at the bottom of the list and take the leftovers rather than listening to what we need to make the biggest impact and share our gifts.

We talk a lot about Work/Life balance, but life rarely is. One week may require more attention on family and the next on work. The key is to harmonize the priorities in your life to be a wife, mom and working professional and not lose yourself. If you aren't your best, you can't be your best for anyone else - for your family, employer or your clients. Harmony requires intention and saying No. That can mean re-evaluating your priorities to assess what is truly important and why. A shift may feel uncomfortable but it may be just what you need to show up more authentically.
The information you consume impacts how you think and feel because what you focus on grows. Negative news and content will put more negativity into your head. Positive, uplifting content will bring you more positivity and joy. The good news is that you get to choose what you consume. An intentional practice of deciding how you want to feel and fueling it can make all the difference.
What you feed your body impacts how you feel, the extent to how illness impacts you and how you perform physically and mentally. But you need to adjust your nutrients as you move through different stages of life and supplement where food and environment are lacking.
Pay attention to the ingredients in both your food and other household products to reduce toxins and increase your vitality.
Who you surround yourself with drives your emotions and influences the decisions you make. Ensure your circle is supportive and will cheer you on, but will also will tell you the hard truth when needed. We all need people we can cry to when the time comes. Take a hard look at who you're allowing to influence you and make some hard cuts, where needed.
Moving your body every day helps to clear your mind and keep your body strong. It can also fuel creativity as it provides a break from your work that allows your mind to wander. What type of exercise should you do? The kind you WILL do!
I love activities that are outside. Nature has a way of calming the soul.

I'm Cheryl Schuberth. A wife, mom and former corporate leader. I know firsthand the frustration of trying to do it all and feeling that none of it is good enough. My whole life was built around climbing the corporate ladder, but as I got to the higher rungs I realized I was missing out on so much of my life. After 25 years leading and coaching teams in the corporate technology world, I stepped away and embarked on a mission to empower other working women to become more curious and re-evaluate their priorities.
Start by putting yourself at the top of the list!
I’m grateful for Cheryl’s eagerness to invest in me and provide honest and direct feedback towards my Corporate career so I can continue to strive for the greatest benefits in my role. When I shared my challenging crossroads with her, she showed great empathy and willingness to share her expertise to guide me into a more balanced work and life approach, which has been rewarding and priceless. I am thankful that Cheryl motivates me and feel honored to call her my Coach/my friend and truly value all that she has to offer.
