We talk a lot about Work/Life balance, but life rarely is. The key is to be intentional about the priorities in your life to be a wife, mom and working professional and not lose yourself. That can mean re-evaluating what's currently on your calendar against what's truly important to you. A shift may feel uncomfortable but it may be just what you need to show up more authentically.
The information you consume impacts how you think and feel because what you focus on grows. Negative news and content will put more negativity into your head. Cheryl Schuberth is a wife, mom and former corporate leader. She knows firsthand the frustration of trying to do it all and feeling that none of it is good enough. Her whole life was built around climbing the corporate ladder, but as she got to the higher rungs she realized she was missing out on so much of her life. And her sons' lives. After 25 years leading and coaching teams in the corporate technology world, she stepped away and embarked on a mission to empower other working women to become more curious and re-evaluate their priorities.
It starts with putting yourself at the top of the list.
I’m grateful for Cheryl’s eagerness to invest in me and provide honest and direct feedback towards my Corporate career so I can continue to strive for the greatest benefits in my role. When I shared my challenging crossroads with her, she showed great empathy and willingness to share her expertise to guide me into a more balanced work and life approach, which has been rewarding and priceless. I am thankful that Cheryl motivates me and feel honored to call her my Coach/my friend and truly value all that she has to offer.
